Privacy Policy — EverMax

1) Intro

This Privacy Policy explains how EverMax handles information. Short version: EverMax is a fitness app for runners. It reads certain Apple Health data only with your permission, processes it locally on your device, and does not send it to any server or third party.

2) What this policy covers

This policy covers EverMax’s handling of data accessed via Apple Health (HealthKit) and any information generated inside the app. EverMax doesn’t maintain accounts, doesn’t run a backend, and doesn’t transmit your Health data off your device. Apps that access Health data must provide a privacy policy, and Apple treats data processed only on-device as not “collected.”

3) Data we do not collect

EverMax does not collect, transmit, or receive any of the following:

• Personal identifiers (name, email, phone), contacts, photos, files
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics, crash analytics, or diagnostics sent to the developer
• Payment info, purchase history, or advertising/tracking data

If it never leaves your device, we don’t “collect” it under Apple’s App Privacy rules.

4) No tracking / third parties

No ads, no trackers, no third-party analytics SDKs.

We do not share Health data with third parties and do not use it for advertising or data-mining.

5) Apple Health (HealthKit) permissions & on-device processing

Required read access (core functionality):

EverMax requires read access to these Health/HealthKit data types to analyze your runs:

• Workouts (running workouts and their metrics)
• Running Distance
• Heart Rate (during workouts)
• Cardio Fitness (VO₂ Max)
• Workout Routes (GPS route data associated with workouts; these routes contain location data)
• Date of Birth (for age-based insights)
• Biological Sex (for sex-specific training insights)

Without granting these, EverMax can’t perform its core analysis.

Optional read access (advanced/derived insights):

EverMax may request read access to the following to enhance analysis. Declining them won’t break core features:

• Active Calories (Energy Burned)
• Running Stride Length
• Ground Contact Time
• Vertical Oscillation
• Running Power
• Step Count

Write access (saving manual entries you create in EverMax to Apple Health):

EverMax may request permission to write:

• Workouts (manually entered)
• Running Distance (for manual workouts)
• Active Calories (for manual workouts)

How permissions work & your control:

• You approve each data type individually in Apple’s Health permission sheet; you can change or revoke access anytime in iPhone settings.
• EverMax processes Health data locally on your device and does not transmit it to servers or third parties.
• EverMax does not store personal Health data in iCloud.

6) Data usage & retention

EverMax does not transmit Health data off-device and does not retain it on developer servers. Any analysis results remain on your device. To remove local app data, you can delete the app. Health data itself remains in the Apple Health app under your control.

7) Children

EverMax is designed for general audiences of runners and is not directed to children. We do not collect personal data from children. If you’re a parent/guardian and believe a minor has granted permissions you’d like to revoke, adjust permissions in the Health app.

8) Legal compliance

We follow Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines 5.1 (Privacy) and 5.1.3 (Health & Health Research), including: no advertising/marketing use of Health data, no sharing without permission, and no storing personal Health information in iCloud. If you’re in the EEA/UK, you may have rights under GDPR; since EverMax does not receive your personal data, most rights are exercised on-device (e.g., revoking Health permissions or deleting the app).
